I have finished another chapter of "The False Prince" and Sage is beginning to figure out why he was chosen. He is trying to escape the carriage while Mr. Conner is finding another boy in a different orphanage. While Sage is in the carriage he tries to convince the other two orphans to escape but they will not try to escape. This surprises Sage but they explain to Sage that their life's are not looking good and they are hoping that they can get something good out of this experience. Despite what they tell Sage, Sage still try's to escape. When Sage gets out of the carriage one of Mr. Conner's guards sees Sage and grabs him. The guard threatened to kill Sage, but Sage tells the guard he will start acting better, so the guard let him go that time. Once Mr. Conner came back out of the orphanage with another boy Sage asked Mr. Conner what was going on and he told Sage that the patience is the first mark of a ruler. With that information Sage had a clue as to what all of this could be about.

I began reading a new book called the "The False Prince". I have read the first two charters so far and I have noticed some interesting characterization from Sage. Sage is an orphan who is almost fifteen years old which is the age that most kids are told they have to leave the orphanage. He was very hungry along with the other orphans so he decided he would try to steal a 2 pound piece of meat from the street butcher. The street butcher saw him and chased him down and began to give sage a beating. Luckily a noble man named Bevin Conner came and payed the butcher for the meat so sage would stop getting beaten. Sage was very thankful that Mr.Conner helped him and felt bad about what he had done and was going to try to be a better person. Mr. Conner wanted to adopt Sage, but would not tell him why, and because Sage was almost 15 and would be kicked out of the orphanage soon he had no choice but to go with Mr. Conner. Mr. Conner had adopted two other kids of about the same age who Sage meet when he got into the carriage, although they were not tied up like Sage because of Sages bad attitude. Sage saw that they were treated much better and tried to behave better so that Mr. Conner would treat him the same as the other two orphans.
